Quiksilver issued a yellow alert this morning and the event is on standby, if you don't know much about the Eddie its probably because its the event that never runs due to the certain conditions that is needed for the contest to be a go. A large NW is set to hit Hawaii this upcoming Wednesday, bringing potential to run either Wed/Thurs. Waimea just may show enough conditions and for the first time since ’09 the Eddie could go! This would be the ninth time for the event in the 31 years of its existence. We’ll have to wait and see, but thus far things are looking up, but this will certainly be an event to watch as it is history in the making because of how rare it is.
